Festival Location

Our Story History Legacy

Back in 2010 a small group of parents and staff from The Marlborough Science Academy came together to build on the idea of hosting a music festival as a PTA fundraising event. With a small stage and audience and just a handful of performers, the festival just about broke even.

6 years later and the very same team with the help of further volunteers have established M Festival as a fantastic annual event that has now raised in excess of £45,000 for the school. Things have changed slightly since 2010 and with a much bigger stage, better sound, more entertainment, lighting, pyrotechnics, activities, food & drink and a firework finale, M Festival has come along way and now attracts around 3000 people.

We hope to see you on Saturday 15th July 2017 to make our 8th M Festival even better!

Giving back to the local community

We are supporting 2 local Charities this year!

M Festival has been built around the core principal of providing a fantastic day out for the local community. This year we will be giving a proportion of our profits to 2 local Charities. The remainder of the profits will as usual go back into the PTA fund to purchase new equipment for the students of The Marlborough Science Academy.

For 2017 our 2 chosen local charities are:

Youth Talk - A safe place where young people can visit for counselling and support. The service is available to 13–25 year olds who live, work or attend school/college in the District of St Albans

Electric Umbrella - Challenging the perception of people with learning disabilities by empowering and enriching lives through music. This is a brilliant charity created by Tom Billington who continues to support the M Festival and also works at Marlborough.
